Taiwo Awoniyi helps Mouscron end winless streak with his first goal in nearly two months

Liverpool loanee, Taiwo Awoniyi broke his duck to help Royal Excel Mouscron end their winless streak in win against Waregem in a Belgian UEFA Europa League playoffs game on Sunday.

Since his goal on the 10th of March against St Truiden Awoniyi had fired blank in four games he played for Mouscron until his goal from the spot today,

Taiwo Awoniyi scored the first goal in 56 days as Mouscron secured an important 3-0 win against their rivals.

The win helped Royal Excel Mouscron returned to winning ways after going six games without a win.

The goal is Awoniyi’s first in the playoffs and his 8th in 13th league games for Mouscron.
