African Games: Nigeria finishes 2nd with 127 medals

Team Nigeria has ended the 2019 African Games on high finishing second only behind Egypt who cruised into the top spot.

Team Nigeria finished with a total of 127 medals; 46 golds, 33 silvers and 48 bronze.

Two sports stood out amongst the rest; Athletics and Weightlifting where Nigeria gathered 70 medals which is more than half of the total medals.

Nigera won gold in the women football but lost to Burkina Faso in the men’s final.
