Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Willian Borges’ agent after the Brazilian turned down Chelsea’s latest offer.
Chelsea and Willian have been involved in back and forth contract talks as the London club are reportedly only willing to give him a two year contract.
While Willian on the other hand is demanding a three-year contract to remain at Chelsea where he has been for more than six years.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Willian Borges has turned down Chelsea’s latest two-year contract and would consider moving on.
His agent is said to be in talks with Arsenal who are willing to gamble on the 31-year-old winger who is available on a free transfer.
Fabrizio also confirmed that there are no offers from Barcelona who are said to be interested in the Brazilian.
“Willian has refused another bid from Chelsea to extend his contract until June 2022.
“Still no agreement.
“Arsenal are now in talks with his representatives to sign him as a free agent – no bids from Barcelona at the moment.”
