Ben Chilwell closes in on a move to Chelsea as fee finally agreed

Ben Chilwell is very close to joining Chelsea from Leicester City after an agreement was reached according to reports.

The England left-back who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge will definitely join the London club in the coming days.

According to the Athletic the agreed fee is said to be between £45-50 million which is some millions lesser than Leicester City £80 initial demand.

He is understood to have undergone some medical checks to establish the condition of the injury, with Chelsea kept informed of the results, and he is expected to be ready to return in about three weeks.

The deal would bring an end to Chelsea’s pursuit of Real Madrid left back Sergio Reguilon and Ajax left-back Nicolás Tagliafico.

Chilwell last played for Leicester during a home win over Crystal Palace on July 4 before missing the final five games of the season with a heel injury.

But he is expected to be ready for the start of the new season.
