Best I have seen – Gernot Rohr reacts to Nigeria’s 2-2 draw against Ukraine at Dnipro-Arena

Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr has reacted to his sides performance against highly rated European side, Ukraine in an International friendly played at the Dnipro-Arena on Tuesday.

After taking a two goal lead in the first half with chances of increasing the tally but the Super Eagles allowed their hosts to get back into the game within 60s for a full time score of 2-2 to the delight of the home fans.

The coach who handed a debut started to numerous players including the first goal scorer Joe Aribo said the first half was the best he has ever seen Eagles played since he took over.

“It was the best first 45 mins I have ever had with the Nigerian team since I was appointed the Coach.

“It was wonderful and explosive football.

“Forwards were on fire. Everybody is young.

“45 minutes of one-touch football, fantastic football.”

The performances of some of the new players will surely give the manager a selection problem.
