D’Tigers set record after crushing South Korea in last group B game

Nigeria’s men basketball team D’Tigers have crushed South Korea in their last FIBA 2019 world cup game on Wednesday.

After narrow losses in games against super powers Russia and Argentina, Nigeria smashed their last opponents from Asia.

Four Nigerian players registered double points in the blow out win.

Ike Diogu 16 pts, Michael Eric 17pts, Chimezie Metu 15pts, Ben Uzoh 10pts, combined for 58 of Nigeria’s 108 pts in 42pts blow out win against South Korea in their last group game at FIBA 2019 World Cup.

For the blowout win Nigeria becomes the first African nation to win any FIBA World Cup game with a +42 margin.

Nigeria finished group with a 1-2 record.

D’Tigers who have missed out of a place in the medal position will now continue at FIBA in the classification zone.
