Hong Kong Fans Queue for Hours to See Cristiano Ronaldo Museum

Football fans in Hong Kong waited in long queues on Monday to see Cristiano Ronaldo’s trophies, shirts, and statues at a special exhibition — the first of its kind outside Portugal.

The “CR7 LIFE Museum Hong Kong” opened at a luxury shopping mall and quickly drew large crowds. Visitors took photos with life-sized statues of the football legend, including one showing his famous mid-air celebration and another dressed in traditional Saudi clothing.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he’s special,” said 14-year-old Alvin Lai, who was the first in a queue of over 100 people.

University student Henry Singh added, “He’s the most hardworking person out there. He’s 40 years old and still going very strong.”

Last month, Ronaldo signed a new two-year deal with Saudi club Al Nassr, calling it a “new chapter” on Instagram.

Al Nassr are expected to play in a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month.

Tomas Froes, a representative from Ronaldo’s family office, said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will be meeting fans at the museum “very soon.”

He also said the 12,000 square foot exhibition is meant to inspire people to chase their dreams.

The exhibition will stay in Hong Kong for a year before moving to mainland China.
