Iwobi celebrates EPL-200 club achievement
Nigerian Midfielder Alex Iwobi is happy to have joined the list of players to hit 200 appearances in the English Premier League.
The Everton Midfielder reached the milestone in style as the Toffees secured a 1-1 draw at the home of Champions Manchester City on Saturday.
IWOBI’S CELEBRATION
Alex Iwobi took to his Twitter handle immediately after the game to share his delight over the milestone.
That appearance was also his 100th for Everton in the league.
Iwobi wrote ” Big result. 100 App for Everton. 100 App in the Prem. Parents Anniversary. A year of serious mental challenges… Entering ’23 Grateful. Happy New Years Eve.”
OTHER NIGERIANS ON THE EPL- 200 LIST
There are seven other retired Nigerian internationals who have made up to 200 EPL appearances.
Shola Ameobi, Nwankwo Kanu, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Mikel Obi, Joseph Yobo, Victor Moses, and Victor Anichebe had all made at least 200 Premier League appearances.

This is a tradition of celebrating players on every century Premier League appearances marked.
Iwobi will receive a special box containing a special medallion and plague with information on his progress since making his debut for Arsenal.
