Ndidi’s absence from Leicester pre-season so far not because of Tottenham move

The reports linking Wilfred Ndidi’s absence from Leicester City pre-season thus far to a move to Tottenham Hotspur are untrue, sportsration.com can confirm.

Several reports have claimed the combative midfielder was absent in Leicester City preseason friendly game against Sheffield Wednesday because he was in talks with Tottenham.

While it is not a lie that Tottenham have been monitoring Wilfred Ndidi and have in fact, collected data about the Nigerian midfielder, his absence was not due to a move away from Leicester City.

Wilfred Ndidi like every other person entering the UK are subjected to a 14-day quarantine before they would be allowed to mix up with other people.

Not saying the deal is far or close but just establishing that his absence from Leicester pre-season thus far has nothing to do with his reported move to Tottenham bu has everything to do with the UK 14-day quarantine.

He has to be cleared before linking up with his teammates.

Meanwhile, his compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho was involved in Leicester City 0-0 draw against Leicester City on Friday.
