The playful dig referenced Mohammed Kudus, a star player in Ghana’s squad, sarcastically praising Sudan for capitalising on the Black Stars’ poor form.
Ghana’s AFCON Hopes Hanging by a Thread
The defeat leaves Ghana in a precarious position, sitting third in their group with only two points from four games. Ghana had gone into the match needing a win to keep their qualification hopes alive but fell apart despite a promising start.
Sudan capitalised on defensive lapses, with Mahmoud Mohamed breaking the deadlock in the 62nd minute. Just four minutes later, Mohammed Abdel-Rahman added the second goal, compounding Ghana’s misery.
