Tottenham complete Grateh Bale and Sergio Reguilon signings

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid.

While Gareth Bale joined on a season-long loan deal, Sergio Reguilon was signed on a permanent deal.

Gareth Bale who left Tottenham for Real Madrid six years ago would need no showing around at the London club.

Bale, who will wear the number nine shirt, scored 55 goals in 203 games for Tottenham during his first spell at the club, winning the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award twice in that time.

The Wales international completed a clean sweep of individual domestic awards in 2012-13, being named the PFA Player, Young Player, FWA Footballer and Premier League Player of the Year.

Sergio Reguilon also looked ready for the challenge ahead of him after revealing his readiness to step up and his happiness at signing for Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham.

Speaking on Tottenham’s Twitter feed, Reguilon said: “I’m very happy to be here. I really like the philosophy of the club and the coach, those were the things that made me want to come here. The desire to grow, the vision of the club and I’m eager to grow as a player.

“Tottenham has world-class players and a world-class manager. I can’t wait to start working with him on my first day. I think I am now in the hardest league in the world. I can’t wait to start this new adventure.”
