Wydad Casablanca have defeated Al Ahly 2-0 to dethrone the Egyptians as Total Energies CAF Champions League Champions. The Morrocan side have thus bagged their third CAF Champions League crown .

In the final game , Wydad Casablanca took the lead through Zouheir El Moutaraji’s stunning 15th minute strike. It was early party for the Moroccan crowd at the Stade Mohammed V. In Casablanca . Wydad led 1-0 into the half time break.

Zouheir El Moutaraji added a second in the 48th minute to send the crowd into ruptures as Wydad Casablanca ran out 2-0 winners over Al Ahly who finished the contest with ten men.

The Victory meant Morroco have conquered Club football in Africa this season. RS Berkane had defeated Orlando Pirates to be crowned CAF Confederation Cup Champions before today’s victory for Wydad Casablanca.

Wydad Casablanca will represent Africa at the Club World Cup which will also feature European Champions Real Madrid.
