Barça Femení reportedly sack Oshoala’s coach for doing his job
Lluís Cortés won 7 titles including UEFA Women Champions League in 2 years
Futbol Club Barcelona Femení have reportedly sacked their head coach Lluís Cortés for doing his job.
The 34-year-old former footballer was said to have been sacked despite winning seven titles for Blaugranes in two years.
Lluís Cortés who became Culés manager in 2019 won back-to-back Primera División and Copa de la Reina titles.
He led Asisat Oshoala and her teammates to one Copa Catalunya Femenina and Supercopa de España titles.
In fact, he led Barcelona Femení to club’s first ever UEFA Women’s Champions League with a 4-0 trashing of Chelsea Women’s team.
But despite his incredible achievements he has been sacked according to information from Spain.
Lluís Cortés was reportedly sacked after a dressing room dis-harmony.
Reports suggest that his players complained to the high authorities that his high intensity style of play and training is affecting their personal life.
So despite winning titles, keeping his team in good shape and turning them into winning machines which literally are his job descriptions – he has been asked to leave the club.
