Former Super Eagles Captain William Troost-Ekong to Join Al Ahli in Qatar

Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is set to complete a move to Al Ahli Sports Club in Qatar.

The experienced defender will sign a contract that will keep him at the Qatari club until June 2028. Troost-Ekong has been playing for Saudi Arabian side Al Kholood, where his deal included an option for an extra year.

The 30-year-old called an end to his international career just before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to focus fully on his club career.

This move marks the next chapter in Troost-Ekong’s career after years of service at both club and international level.
