TABLE TENNIS: Segun Toriola through to 2nd round, Funke Oshonaike, Offiong Edem crash out in 1st round

Segun Toriola is through to the next round of Table Tennis men single, after beating Dimitry Prokoptov 4-2 in his round 1 game but Funke a Oshonaike and Offiong Eden are out of Women’s single.

The Seven-time Olympian came from a set down to beat his Czech opponent.

Segun Toriola will now play Japanese Koki Niwa, tomorrow in the 2nd round.

Funke Oshonaike and Offiong Edem have crashed out of Table Tennis Women’s single having lost to in the first round.

The veterans were overpowered by their opponents.

Olufunke Oshonaike lost 2-4 to Adriana Diaz from Puerto Rico and Offiong Edem lost 1-4 to Viktoria Pavlovich from Belarus.
