#ITTFWorlds2021: Quadri eases to round 32, Abiodun faces Pucar
As Omotayo and Abiodun advance in Men's double
Aruna Quadri has booked his place in the round of 32 at the 2021 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals.
Africa and Nigeria number one player followed up his impressive round one display with another win at Houston on Wednesday.
Quadri who secured a 4-0 win in the first round game against Aliaksandr Khanin, dug deeper in order to secure a 4-2 win against Vitor Ishiy in the round 64.
Aruna Quadri advanced to the round 32 where he would play a yet to be decided.
Bode Abiodun the other African player left in the men’s single will play against Tomislav Pucar for a place in round 32.
Abiodun defeated Anthony Amalraj 4-3 in the first round to book a place in the round of 64 where he will play Tomislav Pucar.
Earlier today, Olajide Omotayo and Bode Abiodun came from a game down to beat India’s Harmeet Desai and Almaraj Anthony in the round of 64.
They have both advance to the round of 32 in Men’s double.
