Jurgen Klopp reveals what he does not like about Sergio Ramos
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently shared his thoughts on Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos, revealing he’s not a fan.
Klopp, known for speaking openly, has a history with Ramos dating back to the 2018 Champions League final. In that match, Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid, and Ramos’s tackle on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah left Salah with a shoulder injury.
In an interview with MARCA, Klopp didn’t hold back. “If you’re not from Real Madrid, you see Ramos as ruthless and brutal,” he said, mentioning how Ramos’s style of play often leads to controversial moments. Referring to the incident with Salah, Klopp added, “That was a brutal action. Is Mr. Sergio Ramos really a good guy? He’s not my favorite player.”
Klopp went on to say he could never understand Ramos’s mentality and made it clear he didn’t want players with that mindset on his teams. “I never had players like that, and when I did, I made sure they left,” Klopp said.
Since leaving Liverpool, Klopp has taken on a new role as Head of Global Football for the Red Bull Sports group.
