Milestone for Kobe as Lakers lose to Kings, Rockets beat Jazz again and Bulls extend winning streak

It was another day and the same result for the Houston Rockets against the Utah Jazz after emerging 103-94 victors in the NBA.

The Rockets edged the Jazz 93-91 in Salt Lake on Monday and they backed that up in Houston on Thursday.

James Harden starred in the absence of Dwight Howard and suspended team-mate Ty Lawson, posting 33 points as the Rockets beat the Jazz for the second time in four days.

The Jazz were led by Gordon Hayward and his 15 points on the road.

There is no stopping the Chicago Bulls, who extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a 101-92 victory at home to the Boston Celtics.

Pau Gasol’s double-double of 17 points and 18 rebounds inspired the Bulls to their longest winning run of the season, while Derrick Rose contributed 18 points.

Jae Crowder top-scored with 17 points for the slumping Celtics, who have lost four of their past five games.

Boston were without coach Brad Stevens for the trip to Chicago after he went to visit one of his former Butler players who had fallen ill.

The Atlanta Hawks ended a two-game skid via a 126-98 win against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers.

Atlanta had lost back-to-back games to the New York Knicks but returned to winning ways thanks to Kent Bazemore’s 22 points.

The 76ers, who went on a 13-0 run in the third quarter to claw their way back into the contest, were led by Jahlil Okafor and his 21 points.

Kobe Bryant became the third player in NBA history to reach 33,000 points, but his Los Angeles Lakers went down to the Sacramento Kings 118-115.
